Two-year Master of Laws (Research)
      
    The student must register for 5 courses. The following are the compulsory courses:
- Advanced Legal Skills
 - Legal Reasoning and Argumentation
 - Integrated Skills Projects
 
For specialization, a student has to select two other courses in addition to the compulsory courses.
a) Commercial Law
- Commercial Court Ligigation
 - General Principles of Contract Drafting
 
b) Constitutional Law (select any two from the five (5) elective courses)
- Democratization and Politics in Africa
 - Comparative Constitutional Law in Africa
 - Elections and Electoral Systems in Africa
 - African Human Rights Law
 
c) General LLM
- Any of the three(3) compulsory courses, and
 - Any of the other two courses on offer
 
Two-year Master of Laws (Research)
- Legal Research Methods (compulsory first-year course)
 - Dissertation
