Bio
Lecturer, consultant and researcher at the University of Zambia, Department of Social Work and Sociology. She has a PhD in Sociology and Social Policy from Lingnan University in Hong Kong, a holder of a Master’s degree in Social Structure and Social Work from Gazi University in Turkey, as well as a bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Zambia. She is the current Vice-President for the Social Workers' Association of Zambia. Dr. Kabembo is a Practice Researcher with research interests and experience in Disability and Mental Health; Gender and Social Inclusion; Social Policy; Social Protection; Child Protection and Safeguarding; Case Management for children, adolescents, and their families; Family Caregiving; Substance Use Disorders; Community Change and Development; Psychosocial Counselling and care; Climate Change; and Urban Food Value Chains. Dr. Kabembo also has experience and capacities in stakeholder engagements and actor mobilisation processes.

With Patrick Chanda and Mundia Libati, bid and won a consultancy (worth K218,000) for Save the Children International (the Agency) to develop modules and conduct training of trainers (TOT) for Community Development Assistants (CDA) Teaching Staff & Community Health Assistants (CHA) Tutors in Case Management for Vulnerable Children, Adolescents and families affected by HIV and AIDS from the period.
