We are delighted to welcome you to the second issue of the third volume of the Multidisciplinary Journal of Language and Social Sciences Education (MJLSSE). Scholars do not conduct research just to satisfy their own curiosity. The research that they do is meant to benefit society by raising public awareness and creating products and innovations that enhance development. One of the ways of creating awareness of the research findings is through publication of their work. It is for this reason that our thanks are due to the various authors who decided to share their findings through this journal (published or not) and we are equally grateful to the anonymous reviewers who advised the editorial board on the quality and suitability of the submissions. The eleven papers contained in this issue cover a variety of themes in education ranging from environmental sustainability and energy literacy, special education, business education, morphological analysis of social media and factors that lead to teacher transfers in rural Zambia. Additionally, the issue has articles on power relations in schools, prison education, the revised curriculum and teachers of English, traditional ecological knowledge and an interesting article on translanguaging in one of Lusaka’s famous Soweto market. These issues have been critically analyzed by university academics from Zambia and Nigeria from a scholarly and scientific point of view. The educational scope of these articles and the clarity with which they have been written provide rich and timely data to our readers. The editorial board is therefore sincerely thanking the University of Zambia for hosting this journal on its website from which our readers freely gain access to it online. === (Innocent Mutale Mulenga (PhD), Deputy Chief Editor)
