The BRICS and urban Southern Africa

Zambia continues to be increasingly shaped by her engagements with the members of the BRICS. BRICS represents a group of five emerging economies that include Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa. Urban Zambia is particularly increasingly shaped by her engagements with China and South Africa. Research in this theme seeks to inquire on how BRICS member countries are shaping Urban Southern Africa. Specific inquiry involves analysis of the role Chinese and South Africa in the current and future growth of Zambian cities and regions.
